Job summary

In-Telecom Consulting, LLC in Louisiana is seeking a VoIP Technician to install, program, deploy, and support cloud-based VoIP projects built on a NetSapiens platform. The role includes on-site client work and remote system programming, with go-live testing and strong emphasis on client experience.

You will configure phones, stage devices, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate deployments, documentation, and smooth handoffs to clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in telecommunications, VoIP, cloud phone systems, or related networking/telecom.
• Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business phone systems.
• Basic understanding of VoIP call flows, users, extensions, devices, voicemail.
• Ability to document work and enter time daily.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, professional client-facing demeanor.
• Ability to work independently in the field and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and deploy cloud-based VoIP systems using a NetSapiens platform.
• Program users, extensions, devices, call queues, hunt groups, auto attendants, schedules, voicemail, and features.
• Stage, provision, label, and test phones prior to deployment with MAC mapping and templates.
• Support cutovers and go-live testing with inbound/outbound calls.
• Deploy and configure Yealink, Poly, and similar devices.
• Set up paging, fax, and ATA adapters.
• Perform structured cabling and testing.
• Assist with basic VoIP network troubleshooting.
• Work on-site at client locations for installations and go-live support.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, carriers, vendors, and clients.
• Document progress in ConnectWise or similar PSA.
• Provide end-user training on phone features.
• Assist with project closeout and documentation.
• Help improve deployment standards and processes.
• Occasional after-hours or weekend cutovers.
