Job summary

Ford is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and implement platform and Ford-specific vehicle software solutions. You will own end-to-end software services across Ford Vehicle programs, building in-vehicle software using a modern technology stack and applying CI/CD practices.

Requires strong cloud expertise (GCP, AWS, Azure), experience with Java Spring Boot, and the ability to drive insights from imperfect data.

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years in cloud-based, technically aligned roles using Java Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Implement platform and Ford-specific solutions for vehicle software platforms.
• End-to-end responsibility for software services supporting Ford Vehicle programs and the platform.
• Design and build in-vehicle software with current technology stack.
• Apply CI/CD practices and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Sonar Cube, Fossa, GitHub).
• Collaborate with feature engineers to break down work into incremental production-ready user stories.
• Refactor APIs/microservices for simplification and efficiency.
