Job summary

UDR Consulting, INC is seeking a Cloud Systems Management Engineer to design and operate cloud environments in Charleston, WV. You will implement IaC, automate deployments, monitor performance and costs, and enforce IAM and encryption standards.

The role requires 3+ years in cloud administration, monitoring, patching, DNS/SSO, and configuration management. UDR publishes competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in systems administration with a cloud environment.
• Minimum of three (3) years in cloud monitoring and logging tools (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, or ELK Stack).
• Minimum of three (3) years in patch management, backup/recovery, and high availability configuration in the cloud.
• Minimum of three (3) years with DNS (Route53/Azure DNS) and Entra, as well as SSO.
• Minimum of two (2) years with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design: Build and manage cloud environments using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• System Automation: Write scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate deployments, backups, and routine maintenance.
• Monitoring and Health: Track system performance, resource usage, and cost efficiency using cloud observability platforms.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce IAM, network security groups, and data encryption standards.
• Incident Response: Troubleshoot outages, analyze logs, and resolve complex application or network issues.
