Quanex is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to support deployments across multiple locations including Akron, OH. The role focuses on deploying and maintaining cloud and on‑prem infrastructure with strong hands‑on ownership over IT projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in Windows Server/AD, Azure, PowerShell, and enterprise monitoring tools, plus a willingness to travel up to 10% and work extended hours when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; experience may substitute.
• Microsoft certifications preferred.
• 5–7 years of Windows Server and Active Directory administration.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain cloud environments and on-prem infrastructure.
• Provide advanced technical support and manage ServiceNow incidents.
• Monitor system performance and address issues proactively.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures.
• Design and implement system improvements for reliability and efficiency.
• Support major IT infrastructure projects and collaborate with partners.
• Create clear technical documentation and knowledge materials.
• Travel up to 10% and be available for extended hours as needed.
