Position: Cloud Systems Engineer, Information Technology

Location: New York, NY

Reporting To: Senior Director of Information Technology

Role Overview

Lincoln Center seeks a skilled Systems Engineer specialized in cloud technology to manage our Azure and AWS infrastructure. Responsibilities include maintenance, security, collaboration on R&D, and supporting our innovation initiatives. The role reports directly to the Senior Director of IT.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage AWS Landing Zone/Control Tower for secure multi-account management.
2. Design, deploy, and maintain Azure and AWS infrastructure for high availability.
3. Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation.
4. Automate operations via scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
5. Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize costs using AWS tools.
6. Deploy logging and monitoring solutions across AWS and Azure.
7. Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and best practices.
8. Manage AWS networking components like VPCs, VPNs, Direct Connect.
9. Configure DNS, security groups, VNets, and firewalls.
10. Assist in cloud migration projects.
11. Participate in post-incident reviews and security assessments.
12. Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads (ECS, EKS, Lambda).
13. Stay updated on cloud advancements and recommend improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Azure and AWS.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation).
• Experience with Azure Active Directory and O365.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of security frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps.
• Monitoring tools experience (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog).
• Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant AWS and Azure certifications.
• Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid architectures.
• Knowledge of serverless and event-driven computing.
• Database administration experience (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora).
• Cloud migration project experience.
