Job description

Your Impact


The Windows Engineering team is responsible for the desktop, Windows server and Remote working platforms for Goldman Sachs. The team architects and engineers the Microsoft operating systems and enterprise products such as Windows 10/11, Microsoft SCCM/MECM/Intune, Tanium, third-party enterprise VDI products such as Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp, as well as multiple custom in-house systems management and software delivery platforms.


We are looking for Windows Cloud Systems Engineers, with 3-7 years of experience, to help build out, manage and support the firm's growing Windows desktop, server and configuration management services in the public cloud.


How will you fulfill your potential?



  • Design, implement and deploy VDI services and supporting systems management infrastructure
    (including configuration management, security patching and application delivery) in Azure, primarily
    for Windows 365 Cloud PCs.

  • Engineer and maintain process automation to configure and manage cloud-hosted VDI desktops at
    scale.

  • Work with a global team of highly motivated platform engineers and project managers.


Skill / Experience



  • Experience deploying, managing and supporting at least one VDI environment in the public cloud
    (e.g Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix DaaS or AWS Workspaces)

  • Experience using Intune to configure, manage and secure desktops in the public cloud

  • Ability to code or script (e.g. PowerShell) using an SLDC environment (e.g. GitLab CI/CD)

  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools to build, deploy and update public cloud services (e.g.
    Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep)

  • Able to analyze and troubleshoot desktop and server OS related issues (e.g. troubleshooting
    performance issues by reviewing telemetry from Intune Endpoint Analytics, Perfmon)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to work with external vendors on support issues

  • Team player who can work in a fast-paced, environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience deploying Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) resources in
    Azure and/or AWS.

  • Experience using Azure and AWS native cloud services to manage and patch cloud infrastructure
    (e.g. Azure Update Manager, AWS Systems Manager).

  • Experience using Graph APIs to automate manual configuration tasks in Intune.

  • Enterprise-level Financial Services experience is preferred.
