Job summary

First State Bank of Middlebury is seeking a knowledgeable Systems & Cloud Administrator to support and maintain the Bank's technology infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, and end-user computing. The role focuses on security, performance, and reliable operations to serve employees and customers.

Candidates should have five years of systems administration experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users.

Qualifications

• Degree, certification, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in systems administration.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, and enterprise workstations.
• Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365 services.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, LAN/WAN environments, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Bank employees.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues.
• Perform software updates, patch management, and system backups.
• Monitor and maintain workstation, server, and infrastructure health.
• Support and administer virtual server environments.
• Monitor network activity, performance, and security.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, configurations, and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
