Job summary

Adapture is seeking a Cloud Administrator to troubleshoot a broad range of IT issues across Windows and Linux environments, including backups, imaging, patches, and permissions. You will manage client tickets, perform OS/app/hypervisor tasks, monitor events, and participate in after-hours maintenance and incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience and/or certifications.
• 5+ years’ experience in VMware, vSphere, hybrid and/or public clouds.
• Foundational knowledge of Windows, VMware, Active Directory, enterprise server environments, and networking.
• Basic VMware vSphere virtualization with related storage and networking technology (vSAN, virtual networking).
• Basic understanding of public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
• Ability to work flexible hours for emergencies, and participate in on call rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage client support tickets through to their successful resolution.
• Troubleshoot and remediate enterprise level IT application issues (backups, DR, security, patching, etc.).
• Perform administrative tasks at the operating system, application, and hypervisor level.
• Monitor network events, perform daily walk-throughs, participate in after hour maintenances and major incidents.
• Deliver exceptional experiences to clients in every interaction.
• Perform other duties as required to help the operations team achieve its objectives.
