Job Description:

The ideal candidate is a member of our pre-and post-sales Cloud Success team focused on customers in the Federal, Higher Ed, Healthcare, and State & Local Public Sector. The Architect’s primary responsibility will be providing both pre- and post-sales positioning of cloud solutions to our customers. Cloud solution components will include Oracle Cloud PaaS and IaaS Solutions, including PaaS offerings beyond the database like Data Integration Cloud, Analytics Cloud, Observability and Manageability services and Security technologies like Data Safe, Identity management and core OCI security features. This position spans both pre-sales as well as support and provides advisory support throughout the cloud lifecycle, resulting in renewals, expansions, and uptake of additional services. The Architect will operate through the complete opportunity lifecycle from pre-sales support, solution architecture and blueprinting, and implementation planning, as well as through post-sales advisory and hunting for additional workloads. This position is responsible for working with the clients to understand and document their business needs and guide the client on a map to success across public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud deployment models. This role operates under general supervision, providing varying complex technical solutions independently. Performs other related duties as required.

The candidate performs the following specific assignments:

• Assists in the design and management of an organization's cloud systems, applications, policies, and strategy.
• Incorporates security management and privacy requirements into cloud hardware, software, and applications.
• Evaluates and identifies the best cloud solutions for the organization.
• Designs controls and processes that utilize available audit tools.
• Maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technology.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Be able to contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems or related field
• At least ten (10) years of post-college full-time experience with Oracle Order Entry (OE)
• At least eight (8) years of post-college full-time experience with IaaS (infrastructure as a service), PaaS (platform as a service), and SaaS (software as a service)
• At least three (3) years of experience working on Federal Government team

Experience Desired:

• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, contractors and senior level staff
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end user requirements will be satisfied in future years
• Demonstrated experience tailoring complex technical ideas and concepts to be communicated to a range of audiences in briefing and reports

Special Skills/Knowledge/Training Required/Desired:

• Certified Cloud Architect is preferred
