Job summary

CME Group is seeking a software developer/engineer to work with development and platform teams to migrate and maintain applications in Google Cloud. You will apply Observability concepts, monitor system health, and participate in on-call rotation for production systems.

The role emphasizes resiliency, capacity planning, automation, and meeting non-functional requirements such as availability, performance, and security. Hybrid telecommuting is permitted as determined by the employer.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, engineering or related field and 36 months of experience in software development.
Experience migrating and maintaining applications in Google Cloud.
Familiarity with observability, monitoring and incident management.

Responsibilities

Migrate and maintain applications in Google Cloud with development and platform engineering teams.
Apply observability concepts and monitor metrics, system health and incident reports.
Provide on-call rotation support for production systems and conduct post-incident reviews.
Drive designs for operational resiliency, fault tolerance and capacity planning; promote automation and reduce toil.
Ensure software solutions meet non-functional requirements including availability, performance, security and maintainability.
