Job summary

gridscale GmbH in Köln is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help design, automate, and operate our Cloud Store platform. You will build frameworks to package and deploy GridStore components, drive Kubernetes stack development, and implement GitOps with FluxCD to improve automation and reliability.

You’ll onboard new teams to OPCP, maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible, and thrive in a security-minded, highly automated environment.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and internals.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially OpenStack, including infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially deep Kubernetes.
• Skilled in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Observability stacks: metrics, logs, traces.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, and Go.

Responsibilities

• Build the framework for packaging and deploying Cloud Store packages.
• Drive ongoing development of Kubernetes stack and GitOps workflows.
• Support other teams onboarding with OPCP/ framework.
• Analyze systems and derive improvements in ambiguous situations.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
