Job summary

Kastle Systems is hiring a mid‑level Site Reliability Engineer II to own the reliability of our core infrastructure. You will partner with product engineering to make services production‑ready from day one, handle on‑call rotations with blameless post‑incident reviews, and contribute to a platform evolution that emphasizes GitOps, SLI/SLOs, and cost‑efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in an SRE/Platform Engineering or Infrastructure role with production ownership.
• Hands‑on Azure experience in production (AKS, Azure Monitor, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Front Door) or willingness to operate in Azure.
• Deep production Kubernetes experience including resource management, RBAC, networking, and debugging.
• GitOps tooling experience (ArgoCD, Flux) and multi‑stage delivery.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/OpenTofu/Pulumi and drift‑free state management.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the multi‑stage deployment pipeline using ArgoCD, including approval gates, promotion policies, and rollback mechanisms.
• Maintain trunk‑based branching discipline and enforce release governance standards.
• Manage feature flag lifecycle and coordination with product/QA teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for safe, frequent, auditable deployments.
• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure with Terraform/OpenTofu, ensuring drift‑free state.
• Own Kubernetes cluster operations: scheduling, RBAC, network policy, cost governance.
• Identify and act on infrastructure cost optimization opportunities.
• Define and enforce SLIs/SLOs with product engineering teams.
• Build observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch.
• Lead runbooks, dashboards, and alerting to reduce incident cognitive load.
