Job summary

Capstone IT, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Lead to guide a team of software engineers while staying hands-on with solution architecture, design, and delivery.

The role focuses on building scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and related integration technologies. You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, ensure reliability, security, and maintainability, and introduce AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading software teams and mentoring engineers.
• Hands-on Java, Spring Boot, and AWS development experience.
• Experience building REST APIs, Kafka, MongoDB, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong solution architecture and system design capabilities.
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions to technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor software engineers through design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Design and implement enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
• Develop REST APIs and event-driven integrations using Kafka and MongoDB.
• Translate requirements into scalable solutions by partnering with business and technical teams.
• Establish architecture and engineering practices focusing on performance, security, and maintainability.
• Drive technical decisions across multiple initiatives while remaining involved in delivery.
• Introduce AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality.
• Support integrations involving MuleSoft and front-end React components.
