Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a seasoned sales engineer to partner with regional sales teams and customers to architect scalable cloud solutions. You will translate complex requirements into practical implementations, engage technical stakeholders, and guide deployments across data lifecycle projects.

Responsibilities include technical discovery, solution architecture, and coordinating resources for proof-of-concept work, with frequent travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience as a sales engineer or technical consultant in a cloud computing environment or in a customer-facing role.
• Experience working with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support local sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities, and engage customers to address aspects of the data lifecycle.
• Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions to meet gathered requirements.
• Take responsibility for managing technical projects, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinating supporting technical resources.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer/partner environments, and travel as required for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
• Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition using whiteboards, slides, demos, white papers, and RFI responses.
