Job summary

NetApp is seeking a Continuous Product Engineering (Sustaining Engineering) professional to assist in the design, definition, development, and testing of cloud computing applications. You will work with senior engineers to ensure NetApp ONTAP and cloud solutions meet customer needs in a dynamic, multi-vendor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science with 2 years of experience, a Master’s Degree; or equivalent experience is typically required.
• Experience diagnosing and reproducing customer problems in a GDC context involving NetApp ONTAP and cloud platforms.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues, collaborate with support and development engineers, and contribute to software fixes or enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex customer issues related to Google Cloud and ONTAP.
• Collaborate with engineers to debug and identify root causes of filesystem problems and data recovery.
• Analyze system logs, status information, memory dumps, and ONTAP source code to determine solutions.
• Communicate action plans clearly with support, escalation managers, and customers as needed.
• Contribute to software fixes or enhancements to NetApp ONTAP and provide timely coverage including some holidays/weekends.
