Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer in Laurel, MD to join our Cyber Intelligence team. You will engage in requirements analysis, software development, testing, and deployment on AWS cloud infrastructure and large compute clusters.

The role emphasizes AI/ML capabilities, distributed systems, and adherence to security and compliance standards. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; degree equivalent to 2 years experience.
• Two+ years of software development/engineering experience including requirements analysis and testing.
• Experience with OpenSource NoSQL products for distributed, parallel computation.
• At least 1 year developing software with languages like Java, C, or C++.
• Minimum two years in software integration and testing with test plans and scripts.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on cloud software research, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing and issue diagnosis.
• Collaborate on next‑gen cyber and AI/ML capabilities hosted on large compute clusters and AWS Cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in designing and developing web applications and automated analytics software.
