Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III within the CTO Enterprise Observability Platforms team to design and deliver trusted, scalable technologies. You will work on secure production code, architecture artifacts, and data-driven improvements across diverse business functions within an agile setup.

The role emphasizes hands-on AWS/ECS/EKS, Terraform, AI-assisted tooling, and secure coding practices, contributing to resilient, enterprise-grade software delivery.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience in design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience coding in a large corporate environment with modern languages and querying languages.
• AWS architecture and core services with hands-on experience on VPC, EKS, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, KMS, ALB/NLB, Auto Scaling.
• Experience deploying containerized workloads on AWS ECS/EKS including service orchestration and autoscaling.
• AWS networking including VPC design, security groups, Private Link, DNS.
• Terraform—modules, state management, backends, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs for correctness and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, resiliency and security.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and CI/CD security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms synced with systems.
• Uses enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Utilizes SDLC tools to enhance automation and value realization.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints.
• Gathers and analyzes data to create visualizations and inform continuous improvement.
• Proactively identifies hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
