Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Fraud Prevention Technology team. You will design and deliver trusted, scalable software solutions in a secure environment, contributing across multiple tech areas to support business objectives.

Responsibilities include building production-quality Java applications on AWS, driving code quality with AI-assisted tools, and ensuring security and resiliency through the SDLC within an agile framework.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience coding in Java and querying databases in AWS environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs for correctness and security.
• Understanding of secure handling of data and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and debugging.
• Writes secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Uses AI-assisted tools to improve code quality and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Uses SDLC tools and automation to enhance value from development.
• Produces architecture/design artifacts and ensures constraints are met by code.
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and improve software performance.
• Identifies data patterns to improve coding hygiene and system design.
