Job summary

Amazon is seeking fungible software development engineers for the Ads, LEO, Devices, and Entertainment Teams. You will design and implement highly available cloud services in Java at massive scale, collaborating across Amazon to shape technical direction and deliver customer-facing features.

You will leverage generative AI to accelerate delivery, solve distributed systems challenges, and contribute to operational excellence with on-call support and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, scalable cloud services in Java.
• Build and operate Tier-1 services at massive scale.
• Solve novel and complex distributed systems challenges with low-latency and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Leverage generative AI extensively in day-to-day development workflow to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams across Amazon to define technical direction and deliver customer-facing features.
• Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, including on-call support, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
