Job summary

Smithfield Foods, a leading food company, is seeking an IT professional to lead server and cloud computing initiatives. The role focuses on managing company-wide cloud and server infrastructure, building innovative solutions, and aligning with the Infrastructure strategy.

You will work with IT teams and vendors to deliver reliable, scalable systems. Ideal candidates have a strong background in Windows/Linux server administration, hyperconverged tech, and multi-cloud knowledge (Azure/AWS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Windows or Linux server administration (Red Hat Linux a plus).
• Hands-on with hyperconverged solutions.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and participate on implementation teams deploying new systems and operational processes in accordance with strategic initiatives.
• Assist in developing detailed implementation and contingency plans.
• Improve current state through performance tuning and proactive troubleshooting.
• Provide server administration and support for on-premise and cloud systems.
• Analyze existing or proposed systems and evaluate solutions.
• Leverage relationships with external providers to achieve operational excellence.
• Research and evaluate new enterprise technologies and upgrades to infrastructure.
• Participate in strategy and governance of infrastructure services.
