Job summary

Google Cloud is hiring in Austin, TX for a mid-level Security Engineer role focused on enterprise security architectures and end-to-end solutions across the Google Cloud stack. The position reports to the Austin office and may follow a hybrid schedule as per policy.

The role requires a Bachelor's or a Master’s in related fields and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with a focus on IAM, VPC Service Controls, and firewall policies. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree as specified and 1–3 years of relevant security experience.
• Experience designing end-to-end security solutions across Google Cloud stack.
• Ability to collaborate with Product and Strategy teams and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on business objectives to design and architect comprehensive, end-to-end security solutions using the full Google Cloud stack.
• Scope requirements and write production-quality code that adheres to strict engineering standards and data compliance policies.
• Create reusable technical assets, including scripts, templates, and reference architectures, to accelerate adoption for internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Strategy teams, advocating for enterprise requirements to shape the future of Google Cloud. Lead account planning to identify new opportunities, manage stakeholder consensus, and deliver technical enablement for field partners and leadership.
• Regional travel required more than 30% of the time to unanticipated worksites.
