Job summary

Google seeks a Security Engineer III to help protect Google’s users and developers by implementing cloud security controls across multi-cloud environments. You will own security features, collaborate with engineers, and mentor junior staff, contributing to a safer infrastructure.

The role focuses on defining, measuring, preventing, remediating, and sustaining a healthy security posture. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ related experience, with Go/Python preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and delivery of secure, high-quality engineering solutions for Alphabet’s multi-cloud infrastructure, owning specific technical features and components.
• Implement cloud security controls and support the maintenance of well-lit paths, ensuring that solutions balance developer velocity with security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in to integrate and support the enforcement of security controls within assigned project scopes.
• Identify and implement technical improvements to existing security controls, contributing to the refinement of security standards across cloud initiatives.
