Job summary

ShorePoint is seeking a Journeyman Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen security across Azure, VMware VCF and on-premises infrastructure. You will support Zero Trust and DevSecOps initiatives, enforce secure architecture, automate tasks, and contribute to threat detection and incident response.

Role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity, DoD/NIST compliance experience, and active DOE Q or equivalent clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity with automation and secure cloud design.
• Experience with Azure security and identity management.
• IaC for secure cloud deployments (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• DoD RMF/NIST 800-53/STIGs knowledge.
• CI/CD integration with GitLab and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for cloud security incidents, coordinating with Cyber Operations teams.
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, SonarQube, Trivy).
• Support Zero Trust Architecture implementations (CAC, PIM, Identity Governance).
• Perform cloud compliance checks per DoD/FedRAMP baselines (NIST 800-53).
• Monitor cloud-native SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, Splunk) and log analytics.
• Automate security tasks via scripting and platform-native tools.
