Job summary

Dev Technology Group is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to drive application security for a large cloud-native federal modernization program in Suitland, MD. You will lead security across SDLC, enforce Zero Trust, and manage ATO-related activities while collaborating with Government stakeholders and the OIS.

The role requires SME-level leadership, CISSP and CCSP certifications, and hands-on security testing, threat modeling, and remediation across a multi-system environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT/cybersecurity leadership experience.
• SME-level expertise in DevSecOps and SDLC security.
• Experience with ATO lifecycle and POA&M management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of application security solutions across all SDLC phases.
• Implement Zero Trust principles for applications, workloads, and data.
• Integrate security into DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines withSecurity gates and SBOM generation.
• Direct SAST/DAST, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Lead threat modeling to identify attack vectors and mitigate risks.
