Job summary

Guaranteed Rate, Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer focused on cloud security and infrastructure. You will design and deploy security controls across cloud and on-premises environments, and contribute to the enterprise security posture.

You will collaborate with DevOps and application security teams to implement IAM, network security, EDR, DLP, and SIEM capabilities, while guiding security best practices and automation through Terraform and IaC pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in security engineering focusing on infrastructure/cloud security.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to document detailed steps and plans.
• Experience evaluating, selecting, and managing vendor security tools and platforms.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform for secure deployments.
• Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and multi-cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Own security projects from objective to completion with minimal oversight.
• Track work in sprints and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with security engineers and AppSec teams on complex challenges.
• Design, architect, and implement secure cloud infrastructure and controls.
• Develop and deploy IaC using Terraform to manage secure cloud environments.
• Identify security gaps and drive cross-domain improvements.
• Lead vendor evaluation and manage security tool deployments.
• Provide SME in cloud security and SIEM/log management across domains.
• Maintain security policies, standards, and documentation for compliance.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
