Job summary

Outsiders Fund is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer, AWS GovCloud, to design, implement, and optimize secure cloud environments supporting U.S. government operations.

This role ensures data protection across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and multi-cloud setups while aligning with NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD requirements. The successful candidate will have 5–9+ years in cloud security, hands-on with multi-cloud platforms, and experience implementing IAM, ZTA, and threat detection tooling in regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, CS, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• 5–9+ years in cloud security engineering with multi-cloud hands-on work.
• Experience in AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD ILs.
• Configure IAM, RBAC, JIT access, and Zero Trust Architecture.
• Deploy security tools like Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, and Elastic SIEM.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and continuous monitoring.
• Develop SSP, SAR, POA&M and risk reporting.
• Coordinate incident response and threat intel.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to secure CI/CD pipelines.
