Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Security Engineer to bolster the CMS HIOS Platform Team in a complex federal production environment. You will design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions for cloud infrastructure and sensitive data.

You will automate security processes, perform threat modeling, and collaborate in an Agile team to identify risks and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements across the security lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4+ years of security experience across compliance, identity, networking, system data, and cloud security.
• Experience researching security issues, developing new security technology solutions, and using monitoring tools to assess risk.

Responsibilities

• Research security issues and help create new security technology solutions.
• Design and develop scripts to automate security control workflows.
• Evaluate risk using monitoring systems and tools (Splunk, New Relic, firewall, SIEM, vulnerability scans).
• Develop and implement security procedures, comply with best practices and regulations.
• Conduct data classifications and security assessments for clients.
• Manage API key generation, storage, rotation policies.
• Lead remediation efforts to meet risk goals.
• Perform threat modeling to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
• Follow CMS security, documentation, configuration management, and SDLC requirements.
• Share security knowledge with team members.
