Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Security Engineer to support the HIOS Platform Team in a complex federal production environment. You will safeguard cloud infrastructure, design security solutions, automate processes, and drive risk mitigation and compliance across the stack.

You will work within a cross-functional Agile team, guiding security best practices, conducting threat modeling, and helping implement robust security controls and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years in compliance, identity, networking, cloud security and risk assessment using monitoring tools (Splunk, New Relic, SIEM, vulnerability scans).

Responsibilities

• Research security issues and assist in creating new security technology solutions.
• Design and develop scripts to automate security control workflow lifecycle.
• Evaluate overall risk by utilizing and enhancing monitoring systems and tools (custom, Splunk, New Relic, firewall, system, application, CSP, SIEM, vulnerability scans).
• Participate in the development and implementation of information security procedures, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.
• Execute large client data classification and security assessments.
• Develop and enforce policies for secure API key generation, storage, and rotation.
• Manage remediation plans in support of risk assessment goals.
• Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Follow CMS security, accessibility, documentation, configuration management, and SDLC requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and security knowledge sharing to other team members.
