Job summary

ASM Research in the United States is seeking a Security Engineer to bolster the security posture of the CMS HIOS Platform Team within a federal production environment.

You will design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions across cloud infrastructure and data, working in a cross-functional Agile team to automate security controls and reduce risk. A Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of security experience are required, with strong monitoring, scripting, and threat modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least four years of relevant security experience across compliance, identity, networking, systems, and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Research security issues and help create new security technology solutions.
• Design and develop scripts to automate security control workflows.
• Evaluate risk using monitoring systems and tools (Splunk, New Relic, firewall, SIEM, vulnerability scans).
• Develop and implement information security procedures in line with best practices and compliance requirements.
• Perform data classification and security assessments for clients.
