Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, in Hartford seeks a Security Engineer to join an Agile team and design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure, applications, and sensitive data.

You will perform threat modeling, document audit requirements, manage ATO, and collaborate with developers, security leadership, and clients to balance security with delivery velocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least four years of relevant experience across compliance, identity management, networking, systems, and cloud security.
• At least two years of federal security operations experience.
• Experience with NIST RMF and A&A/ATO processes including POA&M management.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust, Okta, and security certifications such as CISSP/CCSP/(CSISSA) would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud infrastructure and apps.
• Perform threat modeling, code reviews, and vulnerability analysis.
• Document audit requirements and facilitate ATO with stakeholders.
• Create system security plans and ATO packages; support third-party audits.
• Develop and track POA&Ms; monitor compliance with cybersecurity policy.
• Automate security workflows including key management and certificate handling.
• Evaluate risk using Splunk, SIEM, and other monitoring tools; support incident response.
• Conduct data classification and research emerging threats.
• Advise leadership; provide status reporting with Jira.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies.
• Follow CMS security, accessibility, and SDLC requirements.
• Provide security guidance to team members.
