Job summary

AgFirst Farm Credit Bank is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to design and govern secure cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments in a hybrid-Columbia, SC setting. You will embed security into cloud strategy, guide secure delivery, and work with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to enforce standards and risk-aware design.

Required: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in CS/IS or related fields, 7–9 years in cybersecurity with hands-on cloud security, AWS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Info Security or related field.
• Master’s degree in CS/Info Security or related field.
• 7–9 years in cybersecurity with hands-on cloud security experience.
• AWS Certified Security required; other certs preferred (AWS Solutions Architect I, CISSP, CISM).
• Experience with SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS security and cloud automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain cloud security architecture standards for public, private, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate cloud designs for alignment with security principles and organizational risk posture.
• Identify cloud security risks and recommend mitigation aligned with business and tech goals.
• Advise teams on secure configuration and design decisions throughout the system lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed security into cloud delivery.
• Establish monitoring and alerting requirements to support visibility, threat detection, and incident response.
• Provide architectural insight during cloud-related investigations and remediation efforts.
• Promote consistent implementation of cloud security requirements across teams.
