Job summary

Cooley LLP seeks a Cloud Security Architect to maintain and enhance security across its cloud environments. You will design and implement security architectures, assess risks, and guide teams on secure deployment practices.

The role requires strong knowledge of CSA/NIST CSF, incident response, and CI/CD security. Travel and on-call rotations are part of the responsibilities; collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct applicable experience in cloud architecture security.
• Extensive knowledge configuring security controls and securely migrating enterprise applications to Azure and AWS.
• Extensive knowledge and experience developing Cloud Security Frameworks using CSA and NIST CSF.
• Experience implementing cloud security tools and architecture, including access controls, DLP, WAF, encryption, network security, and monitoring.
• CISSP, CISM or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor security practices and systems within the Firm's cloud environments.
• Proactively identify and mitigate cyber threats to minimize architectural and operational risk.
• Architect, design, prioritize, coordinate, and communicate cloud security technologies.
• Develop incident-handling strategies and coordinate responses to security breaches.
• Provide security guidance throughout the system development life cycle, including architectural reviews.
• Contribute to security technology solutions for complex environments and architectures.
