Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to safeguard our cloud infrastructure in public cloud environments. You will design secure architectures, deploy security controls, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to protect data and systems.

You will mentor cloud security engineers, drive security initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance across platforms. This role emphasizes collaboration with IT operations, development, and governance teams to maintain a strong security posture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• 5-7 years of experience in cloud security engineering roles, with a focus on public cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud environments, including CSPM and NDR.
• Deploy and configure security tools such as CSPM, vulnerability management, and IDS/IPS.
• Develop and maintain monitoring systems for incidents in cloud environments; conduct vulnerability scans and tests.
• Implement automation scripts to streamline security processes and policy enforcement.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS and standards like ISO 27001, NIST.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to cloud security engineers.
• Collaborate with IT operations, development, and compliance teams to integrate security measures.
• Understand cloud usage patterns, pricing models, and cost management tools.
• Mentor and lead security-related projects to timely completion.
