Job summary

State Street is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to define, implement, and govern cloud security architectures across public, private, and SaaS environments. You will partner with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions that support the firm’s digital transformation.

You will lead security architecture reviews, define security capabilities (IAM, network, data protection), and drive adoption of Zero Trust and secure-by-design

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years leading large-scale cybersecurity architecture, engineering, security operations, or technology transformation in global contexts.
• Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Deep expertise in cloud security, security architecture, network security, IAM, data protection, encryption, infra security.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, containers, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud security architectures, standards, patterns, and reference models across multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Partner with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security controls.
• Lead security architecture reviews for cloud transformations, cloud-native apps, containers, Kubernetes, and SaaS.
• Define and govern cloud security capabilities including IAM, network security, data protection, encryption, logging, monitoring, and automation.
• Identify cloud security risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with enterprise risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Drive adoption of Zero Trust, secure-by-design, and cloud-native security principles.
• Evaluate emerging cloud security technologies and trends to support future-state architecture strategies.
