Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to define, implement, and govern cloud security architectures across public, private, and SaaS environments. You will collaborate with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with regulatory and enterprise standards.

In this role you will lead security reviews for cloud transformations, drive Zero Trust adoption, and influence architects across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 14+ years leading large-scale cybersecurity architecture in global environments.
• 8+ years cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Experience designing enterprise cloud security across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure security certificates desirable.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud security architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Partner with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security controls into cloud platforms and services.
• Lead security architecture reviews for cloud transformation initiatives, cloud-native applications, containers, Kubernetes platforms, and SaaS solutions.
• Define and govern cloud security capabilities including IAM, network security, data protection, encryption, logging, monitoring, and security automation.
• Identify cloud security risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with enterprise risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Drive adoption of Zero Trust, secure-by-design, and cloud-native security principles.
• Evaluate emerging cloud security technologies and industry trends to support future-state architecture strategies.
