Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training) to assess cloud security scenarios and help train AI models to reason about cloud risks. The role focuses on misconfigurations, IAM issues, blast radius, and production-grade insights from real-world cloud environments.

You will contribute to improving AI safety in cloud contexts. The position is an hourly contract offering 10–40 hours per week and fully remote work.

Qualifications

This isn\'t a typical analyst role. Your deep knowledge of how cloud environments actually fail — misconfigurations, IAM issues, blast radius, the works — will directly shape how AI understands and reasons about cloud security. If you\'ve spent time in the trenches of production cloud environments, this is your opportunity to put that expertise to work on frontier AI.

What You\'ll Do

• Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns
• Review and evaluate IAM configurations, networking setups, storage policies, and container security issues

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across at least one major provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with real-world misconfigurations and security incidents — you know what goes wrong and why
• Able to reason clearly and communicate effectively about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience across multiple cloud providers
• Background in cloud security engineering, DevSecOps, or penetration testing
• Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud, or CSA CCM
• Prior experience working with AI systems or data annotation projects
