Alignerr is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst (AI Training) to join a remote hourly contract role focused on real‑world cloud misconfigurations, IAM failures, and production incidents. You will help train AI security models across AWS, GCP, and Azure from a remote setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing configurations, identifying gaps, and providing expert feedback to improve AI reasoning about cloud threats, with flexible hours (10–40 per week) and global collaboration.

This is a remote, flexible contract role where your expertise directly shapes how AI reasons about cloud security risks.

What You'll Do

• Analyze real-world cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns
• Review IAM policies, networking configurations, storage settings, and container security issues
• Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact and blast radius
• Evaluate and improve AI-generated security reasoning to ensure it reflects how cloud incidents actually unfold
• Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI systems reason more accurately about cloud threats

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security across one or more major providers
• Experience encountering or responding to real-world misconfigurations and security incidents
• Ability to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact
• Strong written communication skills - you can explain complex security concepts clearly

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., Wiz, Orca, Prisma Cloud, AWS Security Hub)
• Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or incident response
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS
• Prior experience contributing to AI training or evaluation projects
