Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training) to analyze complex security scenarios and help train AI models on real-world data. This remote hourly role fits 10–40 hours per week and focuses on security controls, datasets, and clear explanations of root causes.

You will review firewalls, EDRs, IAM, and SIEMs, translating incidents into actionable insights for frontier AI development. Independence and detail-orientation are essential.

What You'll Do

• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios drawn from modern enterprise environments
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to diagnose what went wrong and why
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational data
• Create, label, and validate security datasets used to train and evaluate AI systems
• Clearly articulate root causes, attack paths, and business impact in structured formats

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
• Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise tooling
• Strong understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls
• Able to break down complex security issues into clear, structured explanations
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with incident response, threat hunting, or red/blue team operations
• Background in cloud security, zero trust architectures, or OT/ICS environments
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
• Prior work in AI, data labeling, or technical content evaluation
