Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks an experienced Cloud Platforms Engineer to design, deploy, and operate containerized platforms and Kubernetes environments across AWS GovCloud and Azure resources. The role emphasizes building Dockerfiles, Helm/Kustomize configurations, and robust CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, with Terraform-based IaC and strong emphasis on security and reliability.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering and security teams, delivering repeatable infrastructure and scalable deployment

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen.
Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ within 60 days of hire.
Hybrid work in Fairfax, VA (up to 3 days in office).
Willingness to travel <20% to CONUS/OCONUS sites.
Experience with containerization, Dockerfiles, and Kubernetes in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Build and operate containerized platforms and Kubernetes environments in AWS GovCloud.
Develop and optimize Dockerfiles for applications.
Maintain Helm charts and Kustomize configurations for Kubernetes deployments.
Create and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
Develop Terraform IaC for Azure resources and platform services.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments.
Improve deployment pipelines for reliability and efficiency.
Support operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of container/Kubernetes platforms.
Other duties as assigned.
