Job summary

Twenty Technologies in Arlington, VA seeks a leader to build and run the engineering organization. You will oversee infrastructure, security, reliability, and accreditation programs, delivering a secure, scalable path from development to customer environments.

You will hire across disciplines, mentor senior engineers, and partner with product leaders to align technical strategy with business goals. This is an on-site role requiring U.S. citizenship and strong leadership in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of professional experience across software, infrastructure, site reliability, or security engineering.
• Five+ years of engineering management experience, including leading multiple teams or multi-discipline teams.
• Built or rebuilt an engineering function and grown it into a team others rely on.
• Led senior engineers in disciplines outside your own background and judged their work.
• Owned production systems including on-call, incident response, and RCA processes.
• Led teams supporting software deployed outside standard cloud environments (on-prem, private, restricted).
• Ran hiring across multiple roles with a structured process and successful closes.
• Eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build the organization: decide what to stand up first, how work is divided into teams, and when to add management capacity.
• Hire across infrastructure, security, reliability, and accreditation with a structured process and strong candidates.
• Lead and develop senior engineers directly and the managers you add as the organization grows.
• Own the delivery path from a developer’s laptop to a running instance, including packaging, install, upgrade, and rollback.
• Take over infrastructure work from product teams and build a resilient organization.
• Own operation of our products in cloud and at customer sites, including incident response across boundaries.
• Lead security engineering for products: design reviews, secure defaults, vulnerability management, and detection.
• Stand up and own an accreditation program for products, reporting to you.
• Communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to senior leadership.
