Job summary
Peraton is seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator to support a mission-driven Cyber platform team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on sustaining a cloud-based enterprise platform built with Java and open-source technologies including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo to enable data-intensive analytics on managed infrastructure.
You will work in a fast-paced environment, providing Tier 1–3 operational support, troubleshooting Linux-based issues, and collaborating with engineering
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with current Polygraph is required.
- Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical disciplines.
- 7 years of software development/engineering experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
- Security+ or equivalent IAT Level I+ certifications preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms and Linux system administration.
Responsibilities
- Support daily operations of cloud-based analytic platforms.
- Provide Tier 1-3 support for infrastructure and system-level issues.
- Troubleshoot Linux/Unix environments and network issues.
- Manage RedHat/CentOS provisioning using kickstart.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve performance problems.
- Support on-call operational requirements.
