Job summary

Walmart Global Tech's Marketplace Engineering team seeks a Distinguished Software Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native AI-powered software. You will ensure architectural integrity, reliability, and secure, performant platforms that support enterprise goals.

You will mentor engineers, promote DevOps and CI/CD practices, and collaborate across teams to align technical solutions with business objectives and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/SE and 6+ years software engineering experience
• 8+ years software engineering experience
• Master’s degree with 4+ years experience and accessibility knowledge (WCAG) preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of scalable, cloud-native AI-powered software systems.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews and architectural decisions.
• Champion DevOps, CI/CD, and incident management practices.
• Mentor engineers and promote high-quality delivery.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive tooling improvements.
• Collaborate across teams to align solutions with business goals.
