Job summary

Altruist is seeking a Cloud Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Infrastructure & Platform team. You will set the roadmap, review Terraform implementations, and drive reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure across products.

This hands-on leadership role involves 1:1s, hiring decisions, and collaborating with Platform, SRE, Security, and Data teams. The role requires 6+ years in cloud infra with 2+ years in people leadership, strong AWS/EKS expertise, and experience with IaC, CI/CD, and

Qualifications

• 6+ years in cloud infra, DevOps, or SRE; 2+ years in people leadership
• Strong AWS expertise at production scale
• Kubernetes (EKS) and IaC (Terraform/Helm); GitOps with ArgoCD
• CI/CD ownership and secrets management
• Observability with OpenTelemetry, SLOs, and error budgets
• Experience in regulated financial services environments

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud engineering team across local and offshore locations
• Own delivery of cloud roadmap including secured, observable, scalable platform
• Drive security hygiene and policy-as-code with Security Eng.
• Manage on-call rotation, SLAs, and blameless post-mortems
• Improve developer experience with fast pipelines and self-service infra
• Control cloud spend with cost-per-service view
• Represent Cloud Engineering in audits with automated evidence
• Mentor engineers on secure infra practices
