Qualifications

• 6+ years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE, incl. 2+ years leading engineers in B2B fintech/SaaS
• Deep AWS expertise across networking, IAM, compute, storage, cost management
• Strong Kubernetes (EKS) and IaC experience — Terraform, Helm, GitOps (ArgoCD)
• CI/CD ownership with GitLab pipelines, secrets management (Vault) and safe releases
• Operates production on-call rotations; observability with OpenTelemetry, SLOs, error budgets
• Proven people leadership, hiring, and mentoring of remote/offshore teams
• Knowledge of brokerage platforms and financial services industry
• Experience in regulated environments — SOC 1/2, FINRA/SEC examinations

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and grow a cloud, DevOps, and database reliability team across locales
• Own Cloud Engineering roadmap: governed EKS, DR, Postgres upgrades, edge gateway consolidation
• Drive software supply chain security and SDLC hygiene with SBOMs, provenance, hardened images
• Own cloud on-call rotation, incident response, runbooks, blameless post-mortems
• Improve developer experience and optimize cloud spend with cost visibility
• Represent Cloud Engineering in audits and regulatory reviews with automated evidence
• Mentor engineers on secure infrastructure and resilient design
