Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Software Engineer Manager to lead teams building cloud platform products that enable agentic workloads across the enterprise. You will translate strategy into a tangible roadmap, guide engineers through design, build, and release, and ensure a smooth path from idea to running applications with minimal friction.

You will partner with Platform Reliability Engineering to embed observability, security, and cost guardrails from the start, while growing the next generation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
5-7 years of relevant work experience including leading or managing engineers.
Experience building cloud-native platforms and AI-enabled workloads.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of cloud platform products from roadmap through release and operation.
Collaborate with product management, UX, and consuming teams to ensure secure, reliable platform capabilities.
Define SLOs, observability, alerts, runbooks, and on-call readiness with Platform Reliability Engineering.
Guide design and build of services on Google Cloud and GKE, using IaC and CI/CD.
Drive adoption through self-service workflows and governance for engineers and non-technical users.
