Job summary

ModMed is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Cloud Platform to lead a team of engineers focused on building and scaling the developer enablement platform. You will drive strategy, tooling, and infrastructure to accelerate delivery for clinical and operational apps.

You will own the platform roadmap, champion IaC and CI/CD, and collaborate with Product and InfoSec to reduce friction. Hybrid work model in Boca Raton, FL with a focus on reliability and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership.
• 8+ years in software engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Architecture.
• Proven track record building internal developer platforms or enablement tools.
• Deep technical expertise in AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and Terraform.
• Strong CI/CD automation and GitOps experience.
• Solid observability, reliability, and SRE fundamentals.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing platform engineering team.
• Own the product vision and roadmap for the Developer Enablement Platform.
• Drive self-service platform solutions and IaC automation.
• Champion cloud-native standards and containerized/serverless deployments.
• Partner with Product Development and InfoSec to reduce developer friction.
• Establish observability, monitoring, and reliability standards across the platform.
• Define cloud governance, security, performance, and cost optimization.
• Track metrics (DORA, platform adoption) to show impact.
