Job summary

Ford Motor Company is hiring for a senior software engineer within the EVDD team. You will design, build, deploy, and operate cloud-native microservices at scale on Kubernetes in multi-cloud environments (AWS and GCP).

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, strong Java/Spring Boot expertise, and collaboration with product and cross-functional teams in a hybrid work model in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, developing, and operating cloud-based platforms.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
• Experience with AWS or GCP and Kubernetes.
• Kafka or Pub/Sub for event-driven data.
• CI/CD and testing proficiency including TDD.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of cloud services from design to production operations.
• Build and operate scalable microservices on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
• Power Ford Connected Vehicle Cloud Platform enabling millions of vehicles.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and performance testing to meet SLAs.
