Job summary
Ford Motor Company is seeking a Software Engineer to join a global team leveraging Google Cloud Platform, modern IDEs, and GenAI tools. You will design and implement web services, APIs, and microservices, translating business needs into technical specs while promoting iterative, user‑centered development and continuous improvement.
You’ll work with a mix of current and legacy systems, applying DevSecOps practices and collaborating across product teams to deliver scalable, high‑quality software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of progressively responsible software engineering, architecture and Agile experience.
- Strong skills in Java, Spring Boot and modern frontend frameworks (React.js/Angular).
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop web services, webpages, APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with product teams on integrations, testing and deployments.
- Translate business requirements into detailed specifications.
- Ensure engineering excellence and quality within the product team.
- Collaborate to reduce complexity and improve interoperability across services.
