Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Platform Engineer to build, operate, and improve the cloud platforms and infrastructure that support our software development and release systems. You will work as part of a team to maintain reliable, scalable, and secure cloud environments, while advancing automation and platform engineering.

This hands-on role offers opportunities to deepen expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering, with emphasis on Azure, IaC, CI/CD, and container orchestration

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and cloud-based deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of networking, cloud architecture, and reliability.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure to support development, testing, and production environments.
• Contribute to IaC implementations to ensure consistent provisioning.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems in cloud environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud systems for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Assist in managing containerised workloads and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Implement and maintain observability tools to ensure system health and rapid incident response.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets application requirements and scalable delivery.
• Help improve security, access control, and compliance within cloud environments.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for deployment issues.
• Continuously improve automation across infrastructure and deployment workflows.
