Vaco is partnering with a national wealth management organization to hire a Cloud Platform Engineer focused on building and evolving secure, scalable Azure infrastructure that supports engineering teams and mission-critical business systems.

This role emphasizes automation, self-service tooling, Infrastructure as Code, and modern cloud platform practices to improve reliability and scalability across a growing cloud ecosystem. Collaboration with engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar IaC tooling.
• Knowledge of Azure RBAC, PIM, Entra ID, and governance.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with networking components like VNETs, NSGs, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure, scalable Azure infrastructure supporting applications and data.
• Build and maintain core platform services to improve developer productivity.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using IaC tooling.
• Develop automation workflows and tooling using PowerShell and Bash.
• Create self-service templates and deployment tooling for engineers.
• Partner with teams to implement Azure governance and security controls.
• Support cloud networking architecture including VNETs and hybrid connectivity.
• Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and reliability.
• Contribute to incident response, design reviews, and platform roadmaps.
• Support observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and KQL.
